So I’ve been searching for this card for months for my Ruby & Sapphire set and after having no luck, I decided to dig a little deeper.
Bulbapedia lists it as the following:
13/109 Swampert Water Non Holo Sapphire Theme Deck exclusive
Looking at the contents here of the theme deck it lists there being 1 Swampert card in the deck howeverthat card (and if you click the link you’ll see) is in fact the second artwork of Swampert (the non holo rare) which is actually 23/109:
Which leads me to believe that the non holo version of 13/109 doesn’t actually exist. This is further proved by an eBay listing of a opened Sapphire deck which indeed shows the Swampert card being the 23/109 non holo rare.
Can anyone confirm this? I’ve seen a few omissions/differences from the POP Series sets too, it would be great to have a thread that tracks all of these!
This swampert links back to the 23/109 swampert so I dont know where you saw the 13/109 non holo card. If you saw it on another page it could of course have been a typo.
As a master set collector with a complete RS set, I can confirm that there is no such thing as a non-holo Swampert 13/109 lol. The only two versions of it are the regular holo and the reverse holo.
Looking into it I would imagine its just an error on Bulbapedia’s part. Looking at the Sapphire theme deck page it says the Swampert on there is 23/109 so I don’t think the 13/109 is present. Though it does say that the deck comes with one random holofoil so that may mean that a holo 23/109 could be out there.
No such thing as a holo 23/109. By ‘random holofoil’ it means that one of the 14 regular holos from the set appears at random in each theme deck. The deck does contain 1x 23/109, but it’s the regular version and is indistinguishable from the main set one.
Oh, I see where it says there’s a non-holo 13/109 theme deck exclusive (for those who don’t see it, it’s on the main RS set page, not on the theme deck page). Yeah, I’m not sure where they get that from. Everything else they list is accurate, but they do happen to also be missing a TON of cards that are part of the master set.
The EX Battle Stadium decks contain a gazillion RS cards without the e-Reader logo, and all of these are part of the master set. It’s weird because they list the Gardevoir/Blaziken, but not any of the other cards from those decks. In addition, the master set includes the dot code variants of each card (i.e., Linoone CX0-22G-0AM and CX0-22G-SH1).
