Theres something about the old rev. Holos that are just so captivating. When opening ex series packs, I often find myself more excited for the reverse holo than the holo rare, unless you pull an ultra. I think we need to go back to this, as current reverse holos just look so plain. The way they had the name of the set in the lower corner, with the gold border/text for rares is just so iconic.

Parallel holos were the bomb, just happened at the wrong time. It would be nice to have a switch from the regular reverse holo.
Thoughts? Yes but im biased because its such a buyers market for them right now. Cardrushinc is throwing them out like candy and getting some of them at a cheaper cost isn’t too hard. Even picked up a few golden ones myself from him.
I like the reverse holos with the symbol name in it (TRR onward) and the reverse holos with the energy symbol and energy patterns (Hidden legends - FRLG); I despise the oldest EX series reverse foils with a passion.
Ex dragon is a big offender of having rare reverse holos not available as holo rares. Such a shame tbh
Very true. I wasn’t thinking about those when I posted this but I agree. I am referring to just the TRR onward ones. I think Crystal Guardians and Team Rocket Returns had my favorite reverse holos of all time. Maybe second to Legendary Collection.

I love ex-era reverse holos! I also wish they would do something different with the modern reverse holos. The pattern has been more or less the same since BW-era. The visual was slightly changed for Sun & Moon but it’s still pretty much the same with the Energy symbol. Ex-era was so cool with the different reverse holo patterns so I wish they would go and change the way they do it in the future.
Everything about modern sets just screams lazy. I definitely agree, I miss when reverses were worth pulling. Now u just see green code card and think “meh”.
Sometimes I think I don’t want them to bring back any of the old stuff because it loses its appeal and rarity. Some stuff cards I wouldn’t mind seeing revamped. Other then that, keep it in the past so it stays more desirable and harder to obtain.
I opened up a new pack, kind of laughed cuz I think a trainer said, “paint roller”, idk why but wtf? Some of the new GX’s just look awesome and I was first objective to the new stuff. Still prefer the classics but…
They don’t need to copy it they just need to come up with something original that doesn’t look like horse crap.
