I’m replaying HeartGold and the Gym Trainers just hit different. So I thought I’d ask… What are your All-Time Favourite Gym Trainers and why!? Can be cards you collect, or just characters in general! (Binder pages of Trainers encouraged)
Lt. Surge was always my favourite as a big Electric fan! Sabrina is second (some of my fav trainer cards ever are Sabrina) and hot take… I’ve got Larry from S&V in third because he’s just on his 9 to 5 Pokegrind and I respect that.

On a more serious note Ive always liked Flannery cause shes so tomboyish and Grusha is pretty cool too. I enjoy most of them from every gen tbh. Its hard to decide now that I really think about it.

Really hard to say, probably Morty, Erika and Clair for me. Can not really give a specific reason for it, just like them the most.
My favorites are Sabrina (for the design, psychic powers) and Giovanni (backstory, being a mob boss, overall charisma).
I like a lot Blaine too, he seems kinda underappreciated as a character.

Ok, I know the thread said “gym trainers” but hear me out…
The one dude in Pokemon Colosseum who’s entire strategy is just to use Explosion and go boom 
You’ve been heard and I love it ahaha
Hard to argue with that one, literally 5 of my top 10 favorite Pokemon in a single trainer. 
Let me start by saying that I solely base my picks from the anime. I haven’t played any of the games, so if there are differences between how the gym leaders acted in the anime vs the games, I wouldn’t know.
As for some of my favorite gym leaders in no particular order:

Those Sabrina episodes in the Anime are so firmly ingrained in my memory like 25 years later! That’s why she’s in my top 3!
-Lance because of my first play through on Red.
-Giovanni because of his backstory in Origins.
-Pryce because the three together battled Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina to save Johto in Adventures.
Lt. Surge because in the cartoon he seems to be about 15 feet tall. And he has a Raichu.
Tate and Liza are awesome to me as being gym leaders who pioneer the new double battle feature was so cool to me as a kid.
