At first, I didn´t appreciate the Illustration Rares very much. I guess this had to do with growing up with simpler cards. My brain had to adjust.
However, they have grown on me. I thought it would be interesting to see what Illustration Rares (you think) are real pieces of art, while not being popular (yet).
I just discovered the Clauncher (SV Base) and am a bit hypnotized by it. Just very beautiful.
My favorite “under the radar” one. Done by the great Takumi Wada, who also is well known for his art with the Zelda games.
That is a cool card.
Although, I’d argue that anything Komiya does isn’t under the radar.

I do not like this card format at all but there are some very good illustrations. This one is incredible.
