So I’m looking into all 13 languages that Pokémon has been created in. (Yes it is 13 and not 12).
The languages are as following.
Japanese
English
French
German
Korean
Italian
Russian
Portuguese
Spanish
Dutch
Polish
Chinese
Indian (Funskool owned it in 2004)
If you or you know someone who collects it has information on some of these foreign cards, let me know! This will also allow other people with the same problem as me to come here and find people that may be able to help them with there problems as well.
Thanks in advance to everyone!
Dutch Pkmn Collector here , can provide you with lots of boostermint 1st ed base set cards and have the holos graded from 8-10. Pm me if you need something.
Not sure, there is almost nothing on the Internet About it. I know Quuador had a friend that used to collect them and was trying to collect them all, but a list of the cards never came out publically on the forums. I’m hoping he responds with more information on them though.
PS: Although I’ve never seen them before, this Bulbapedia page mentions the Deck is also released in Danish and Swedish. Not sure how accurate this information is however, since it doesn’t mention Italian at all and I have seen some Italian VS cards in the past. I think @hazard24 showed them once (I could be mistaken).
Also, not sure what information you are looking for @mjisaacs , but here is some basic info for the scarcer languages among them:
Chinese: Everything known can be found in this article that was made by @guangsta .
Polish: Only Diamond & Pearl and Mysterious Treasures (and one Pikachu from the Pikachu World 2010 set) were released in Polish
Russian: XY through XY BreakPOINT were released in Russian, including some blister and McDonald’s promos.
French, German and Italian were released in almost all sets, although there are some exceptions (like no French Skyridge release, or no Italian Supreme Victors release). Spanish and Portuguese are released a bit less, and there was a period they didn’t include Reverse Holos in their sets (like Majestic Dawn and Stormfront for Spanish, or Next Destinies through the end of XY for Portuguese). Korean has their own sets, which are a mix of multiple Japanese sets usually.
@quuador
Vs were printed in italian as well… But I dont know about danish or swedish ones…
Ive deleted my imgur account but if pics are needed I will reupload the 4 vs italian cards Ive seen so far
Quuador
For the Polish sets are there reverse holos for the two sets as well? I’m actually using that list you have of all versions of each set to create one of my own it’s a very helpful reference article. Also, I know the 2010 Pikachu has 2 versions for the English one, one with an English backing and one with Japanese backing. It that the same for all the Pikachu sin the collection like the polish Pikachu or is that exclusive to the English and Japanese language cards in that collection?
Thanks,
Mjisaacs
This made me rofl I think we have yet to see a day @carrot hasn’t posted an update to his collection.
The Polish sets indeed have Reverse Holos. It took quite a while before I finally found the Pikachu, but I have it now (top left one in this picture).
As for the Pikachu World Collection 2010 set, there are three different sets:
Blue set with English back that was released in the US
Blue set with Japanese back that was released in Japan
Green set with Japanese back that was also released in Japan
The only different between the last two are the Japanese cards. One has a green holo background, and the other blue. The other eight cards with Japanese back are the same in both Japanese sets. Here are pictures for all 19 of them. And here the Green vs Blue background in particular:

@quuador
Thanks for the tip about the @ symbol! Also thanks for the picture comparison of the 2010 Pikachus it really helped me understand!
Thanks for all the help in general, I appreciate it!
