Hey guys just have a question about the original team rocket set as far as future PSA prices go. What are your thoughts on this set? Jungle and Fossil PSA 10 Holos are going for at least a couple bucks, do you think Team Rocket will reach this same level? Is there less interest in this set? They did only come out a couple months apart.
This set is one of my favorites and i assume PSA 10’s in the Holos is a safe investment but just want to get some more thoughts from the community. Thanks.
I would say anything WOTC pokemon in psa 10’s are the safest investments to make, I think the error Dark Dragonite is probably the most valuable right now in the set.
Its a great WOTC set that introduced a different variant to Pokemons in english. The price point for PSA 10 holos will never be the same as Jungle and Fossil imo because of the clean cutting from the manufacturing process. There is very little if any silvering in the Rocket set compared to the notorious Jungle and Fossil. Interests for now lie mostly in the 1st edition set, not too sure about the unlimited. In terms of investment it is great to hold on to more popular cards like dark charizard, dark blastoise, dark dragonite and dark raichu. Dark magneton commands a premium because it is low pop, thats it. I personally love the dark magneton art, very shiny with the silhouette of a team rocket member. Also there is the non-holo 5/82 dark dragonite.
