The market for them is significantly lower than Japanese, which is already significantly lower than English.
I’d say good for you to collect, but hard to trade for and sell in the international market.
In the states where we do not see foreign product that much, definitely a eye popper for certain collectors. English is very saturated, german on the however is not. On the other hand, with psa not doing foreign pokemon outside of base set, its very very limited to sealed product beside a few exceptions.
Depending on what your price range is, any foreign base set booster box is for sure a good pick up in my opinion. Collection boxes, blisters, single packs, or even singles are going to be limited to a very very small sample size of collectors.
So if i want to collect german stuff, i should be more focused on old products?

You should collect what you want to collect, not what others say you should
Ide say if your going around this foreign base set market to go for chinese unlimited buddy.
There a hella rare and you can pick them up from 1,000usd a box if your lucky which is close to the german.
There seems to be far to many german 1st ed floating around. Grading the uncommon/common will not be as exciting.
I think chinese 1st ed and korean 1st ed are cool to.
Korean unlimited however is not possible.

Dont get me wrong. I made my decision but i just want to learn and listen to your opinions
Besides…i still want some value in the future so before i get myself into a buying streak.

I dont know what i should think about that. I am german and therefor it is easy for me to get my hands on german products. Chinese products are fine but i dont want to collect 2-3 different language sets.

ahhh your german. Hmmm Well dude… I reckon go after the German unlimited. THere rarer, if you can find them. Pretty kool stuff.
You could perhaps get both. Ide say the german unlimited might be cheaper depending on who is selling it.

So my basic idea ist to collect sealed products. Starting with seales boosterpacks from every expansion in English, German and Japanese. I think this is something i would enjoy and i can imagine to put them on the wall for showcasing.
From there i can get more knowledge about the hobby and start growing.

Can someone explain to me why e.g. the GERMAN Charizard Ex Box costs over 40€🤔 And the ENGLISH won less?
