Any recommendations for this? I assume it’s easier to go through a middleman but not sure I would know who to trust. US side of things was easy enough but Japan as usual seems very hard to get clear info on. Any insight greatly appreciated!

Japanese distributors don’t do business with US sellers anymore. They have a hard enough time fulfulling Japan orders. Smpratte has mentioned this many times.

Several Youtubers have said getting a distributor is impossible at the moment. Too many chef’s and not enough ingredients to go around already…they don’t need more lol. The amount of allocation disasters you hear about backs this up/
Pretty much not possible these days unless you are in Japan and meet the requirements for an official shop. Best bet is like Buckna says is build a relationship with an established middleman or find a site that whole sales.
