So it seems like there was a big GameFreak leak today. I have a feeling a lot of stuff will be discovered over the next few days.
Here is some stuff posted to discord. Cool to see
Rabbit starter in gen 3???

I love seeing this kind of thing. A peek behind the curtain. Can’t wait to see what else is discovered.
I really like that creepy looking rock clam thing, and the gold swalot. These are all really neat
These leaks > the prototypes
Skibidi toilet
Beksiński Unowns.
So Riolu’s sprite definitely got changed to be able to sell in EU, considering the Regis were changed for the same reason.
Fat Kricketune should have never been cut.
I need that Cacturne nightmare thing.
Feels like I’m looking into someone’s fever dream
@ragingkraken What’s the EU regulation/restriction that is bypassed here (and with the Regis)?
Also agree that that Cacturne is metal.
This thing looks like a pokemon created via AI.
Some cool insights into early designs/concepts here. Thanks for sharing!
Not so much EU, but Germany specifically I guess. But I think the change was made for the EU games as a whole.
This was Registeel’s sprite in D/P in everywhere but the EU.
The EU got this, which would just end up becoming the Pt sprite later on.
Since Germany is/was super strict on any imagery that could be interpreted to be Nazi related. And I bet that Riolu sprite here would’ve been flagged too if it stayed like that.
This is basically a Latias/Blaziken hybrid. So sick.
Ah gotcha. Thanks for the tidbit. The Registeel one does look questionable
That’s it! I thought I recognized the design.
I like this design (sw)a lot. Jokes aside it’s really cool to see earlier designs that didn’t quite make it to the release version of the game. You could tell the designs were polished a lot to look cleaner for consumer facing or scrapped entirely. These leaks are like peering into forgotten notes in a time capsule.
