Hi guys. I’m selling a Glossy Pikachu Snap card “unpeeled” and a potential buyer asked me a question…
“First off awesome card. I have a question, as I understand there are two types of Pikachu Snap cards: 1999 Japanese Promo Pikachu Snap Trainer Vol. 1 and 1999 Japanese Corocoro Comics Promo Snap Pikachu Best Photo. I was wondering which one is yours exactly?
Thanks for your time”
I was only aware of the trainer Vol. 1 version and have the book with that one inside. The one for sale however I received simply unpeeled from troll and toad with no book and I have no idea what the origin is. Is there ANY difference between these 2 snap pikachu cards? I would expect them to be the same since I never heard of there being a difference before, let alone 2 versions.
Although the CoroCoro Best Photo Snap Pikachu has the most PSA graded copies (13/20) out of all the Snap cards, I’ve never seen a picture of one in a PSA slab.
Hadn’t even thought about that but it makes a lot of sense. I did a quick eBay search and they popped up immediately. Never having seen a PSA graded CoroCoro Snap Pikachu compounded with this information makes me doubt there even is one at this point.
Well there are lots of labelling errors on this Card
I guess they started to label the Trainer Magazine one’s “corocoro best photo” and only then started to know what it was. the entire pop might be labelling errors, as you can see on this one (many others on ebay) :
