GMA to PSA conversion?

Looking for a second opinion on these GMA graded shadowless cards. The owner lives close to me so I might go check them out.

Any idea how each would convert?
My guess is:
Blastoise: 8-9 (bit off centered)
Venasaur: 9
Zapdos: possible 10?
Gyarados: 9
Charizard: 8

Any and all help is appreciated. I’m trying to get better at self-judging grades!

That Charizard is not getting a 7 or higher for sure. That silvering on top is huge!

The rest, I really have no clue about the reliability of GMA. Be ready to drop atleast a full grade per card going PSA.

I’ve never heard of GMA ever converting well.

I knew a guy a year or two ago pulling the trigger on GMA 10 Shadowless Blastoise, and from what he said the card was horrid. He couldn’t see it getting higher then a 6 with PSA and returned it instantly.

If you could check them out in person that’d be great, but his “10” I remember had distinctive edgewear he couldn’t see from just photos alone

The images don’t show enough to do a reliable pre-grade. If you buy them crack them out of the cases asap. GMA cases are absolutely horrid as they WILL damage the cards even from light case handling. Here is a thread I wrote about them some time ago.

Just by pictures alone I’d say:

Blastoise - 9
Gyarados - 8-9
Charizard - 8
Zapdos - 8-9
Venusaur - 8-9

That Charizard will never get a PSA 8. I got a PSA 7 copy with less damage than the one he shown.

GMA is not a credible grading company. I have a handful of pokemon & sports cards graded by them and I doubt they would even cross with a -2 grade. It might even be lower than BCCG, which I didn’t know was possible.

Agreed. I’ve seen GMA graded fake cards, and not even good fakes as well, the newer Chinese fakes that anyone who knows even the first thing about Pokemon cards can spot.

I would not trust a GMA grade at all.
