Hello, I have come across a deal on a Treecko Gold Star card that is signed by Masakazu Fukuda when he visited Pokemon Worlds in 2006.
I would like to hear your opinions on the expected value for something like this and if it’s authentic?
Also is there any chance PSA would accept something like this?
Here are a couple of other signed items from him that I have found online for comparison.
I highly doubt it. PSA only recently started Authenticating/grading autographed cards in general, and as far as I know they only accept Mitshuro Arita, Ken Surimori and Imakuni¿ at the moment (but correct me if I’m wrong, Scott @smpratte).
Just to clarify: I do not have the card yet, I have just found a deal on it and want to know what I should be paying for something like this
He does not have any kind of proof for the signing but he seems like a genuine person. Apparently he sent it with his brother that worked at the Worlds event that year
Last I heard no Imakuni?. I wish though, as I have photo proof. Unless they accept Imakuni? on an Imakuni? card. I got him to sign 061/SM-P and Scott said no.
Would be good to know that list. Maybe a sticky somewhere. With Arita doing so many signings lately it might give people the itch to get more cards signed, thus more thread popping up.
MartinCollects I think most cards that were signed years ago don’t have proof. People got them signed and didn’t think so much about the value as much as they would today. Plus cards might be on the second third owner.
Lol, sorry for the late post but this is my signed card. I called the PSA about getting the signature authenticated but it is looking like it is not going to happening. I wondering if Beckett will grade the cards or if PSA will grade the card without authenticating the signature.
I purchased from Ebay back in 2015/16 from CoolStuffInc. They obtained it from buying a collection. I have always presumed that it was signed at Worlds 06 since it is a English, but I don’t know for sure.
