It’s from Ultra Pro so i figured they’d be pretty good but they are so flimpsy! They bend backwards when i hold them, the cards come right out when moved and the dividers between the slots are jagged and not solid. They suck! I didn’t know they actually had tiers when it came to these things.
I know the argument is to get the nice Ultra Pro Premium portfolios upto 360 cards but I want some flexibility when i want to take out entire pages and also to cut down on the number of binders by putting multiples sets into a binder. It also sucks when a set is more than 200 cards and i can’t put another set into the same portfolio.I can also put the jumbo cards into the binders as well!
I buy Ultra Pro Platinum Series binder pages. They are good quality. They come in a proper cardboard box. Meanwhile I’m not familiar with those Ultra Pro binder pages you bought, but these ones I’m happy with. They cost more too, I think the box of 100 pages costs like 24 € at the online store I buy from. Silver series pages are similar but cheaper and apparently a bit lower quality. I’m personally very happy with the Platinum pages.
You sound like me when I first got back into the hobby. I currently have over 100 empty pages with no use. When I moved onto wotc cards I used my free eBay cash back money to get a $30 binder with built in pages. I’m telling you I know it sounds like a lot for “just a binder” but your cards look so clean in them and they are side loading binders. Most people suggest penny sleeves but i use ultra pro sleeves because they don’t really slide and in my opinion look cleaner. But trust me even those $8 packages of sleeves from Walmart or found anywhere online goes quick when you really get to collecting
As mentioned already, if you want to stay the 3 ring course then I would recommended Ultra Pro Platinum. However, I made the switch to portfolios and I love it. My personal favorites are DeX Protection 12 pocket portfolios, they hold up to 480 cards and offer a zip up variant to protect from dust.
I use the exact same. I’ve bought thousands of these from a local webshop. I think I’ve bought them for the first time in 2010 or so for my Yu-Gi-Oh collection, and yet they still sell them today. Still have one box of these lying around, but I will keep buying them as long as I need them.
I personally use them with 4-ring D office binders, since they can hold a lot of cards with these 9-slot A4 pages.
