Gym Challenge / Heroes Question

From what I recall, the Koga Holo card was Wizards exclusive card and never saw a release in Japan(Not sure about anywhere else). There’s also the “Spoof” cards which are Imakuni’s Doduo (Released in US through Evolutions) and the Your Name Chansey card.

What cards were not in the Gym 1 / 2 Japanese sets, that were in gym heroes / challenge.

I looked through bulbapedia and found that gym heroes released 132 cards, and Japanese Gym 1 released 96.
And Gym Challenge released 132 cards, and Gym 2 released 98.

Anyone happen to have a list of some sort where its stated which cards aren’t in the corresponding English / Japanese sets?

The premium files went alongside the Japanese sets. These were cut from the English release and instead directly included into the main sets.

I would just say stay on Bulba and cross check the lists to find any cards missing from either side. Its tedious but I don’t think there is a list published already within the past few months here.

Japanese Gym did not have non holo versions of cards that had a holo within the set, so there is no non holo blaine’s charizard. That will knock off a great deal of the missing cards.

Koga was released in the Japanese set, as was the other 3 trainer cards, however, Koga and Giovanni never saw a theme deck release so there is no “non-rarity” versions of either within the Japanese theme deck sets. This is what you may be thinking. The Spoof Cards are correct, those were never released in English until EVO.

Premium Files were started during NEO? I think you are mixing them up. Japanese Gym didn’t have any extra side sets besides the theme decks that added to the master list.

Sorry to bring back an old thread. Referring to Koga. This means the Koga holo trainer in Japanese version does not exist?

Yes, only as a Non-Holo for the Japanese set but wasn’t released as holo in Japanese.

Yeah was about to say this. The decks usually contain no symbol / rarity. So I guess technically a different print.

Ummm there is more but I can’t think off my head.
There is unique non holo trainer cards as well found in decks I think from memory.

Hi. Sorry to revive this old post but Ive got most of the japanese ym challenge and gym heros sets but im also struggling to see what ones are in not in the japanese sets.

Did anyone create or find a list?
