Hey I noticed that some of my Japanese gym cards lack the rarity symbol. Like these two in the link. What’s that about? Are they first edition? Is one worth more than the other.

No rarity = from the gym deck boxes

Any japanese WOTC card without a rarity symbol is either no rarity base set or a theme deck or promo card.
That makes sense. However As you can see in the picture Even though they both came from theme Decks. Why one has the symbol and the other one doesn’t. I used to buy booster boxes from Japan 20 years ago. I’m sure that’s how I pulled them.
They were distributed without rarity symbol in decks, while the ones with rarity symbol came in boxes. It might very well be that they sourced some cards from the other product when they had a lack of a certain card. I opened a few of these decks myself and got a few rarity cards out of them too.
Is the one with no rarity symbol worth more and also more collectable than the one without it?
No rarity is definitely more scarce, but people don’t really care which version they get. One other tiny difference though is that the cards that came out from the decks have more washed colors.
Despite no rarity being harder to find, unless there is an increase in demand for them, they won’t be worth much more.
