Has been around a month since I didn’t make a poll …
Since Halloween is technically around the corner, I think it’d be fun to do a poll for Halloween …

How does it work:

• Vote for any card you like.
• You don’t need to know about competitive … Just vote for the artwork you like (This is one of those times you can judge a book by its cover)
• Each card will have a picture followed by the option to vote for it.

Anatomy, perspective, scene, and choice of color by Kimura in Houndoom’s Town On No Map debut absolutely blows the rest of its cards out of the water. No, Karen’s Houndoom does not not compare, yes I have a Kimura bias. Masago’s hyper-realistic style does justice to it as well, I just wish he had chosen a different angle to showcase it.

If I liked dobermans as much as I like green godzillas I’d say Gen 2 Houndoom was equally as insane as Gen 2 Tyranitar. And to think, the S-tier streak ended in EX Dragon of all places. Shameful.

imo, Houndoom has good cards …
The Dark Houndoom from Darkness, and to Light is probably my favourite Houndoom card

But I agree that Houndour has better artworks in cards …

it has a few solid cards, but i think the neo 3, e2, and the recent AR are the only top tier ones and the one’s i expect to place the highest.

I also consider the Houndoom design to be inspired from Hellhounds. I really like the depictions where the setting seems to be the depths of hell or something similar. Houndour just reminds me of a slightly angry toddler. Mischievous and always up to something but having a grumpy face for no reason.

Houndoom is such a great design, its the first 'mon I think of for dark types. The neo rev holo has to be one of my favorites from Arita, it’s so good!

Himeno’s dark houndoom and Kusajima’s aquapolis are also favorites
