Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I wanted to make a thread for anyone who wanted to share their Thanksgiving day/traditions. Including international Thanksgivings that already passed, it is always nice to hear others standards and practices.

I personally go to my parents and do a pretty standard American Thanksgiving: Turkey, mashed sweet potatoes (my favorite, yes I am a grown man) green bean casserole, more potato casseroles, crescent rolls, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, pretty much the whole nine yards. Perhaps the biggest highlight is my 96 year old Grandmother is going to be there, who recently got out of the hospital. Her doctor said she has 9 lives, and that she bounces back like a spry young 70 year old!

Anyway, feel free to share your day and experiences if you want!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope it was enjoyable.

Hope all my friends in the US had a great Thanksgiving!
I’m sitting here browsing different sites finding Black Friday deals! Cyber Monday is always better though imo.

On all family holidays we go to my parents grave site. My mom passed on my birthday in 2004 and my dad in 2011.
Pic is of my new little girl at the site today.

I myself am on season 11 - diamond and pearl battle dimension. I decided to pick up where i left off when I was kid, which was the start of the 3rd generation. I also want everyone to know that I was not aware of thanksgiving yesterday and it came as quite a shock when @blastoiserules1 told me about it… Then this post, and instagram had some posts about it. The reason for me not being aware of this day is because Im pretty sure we dont have it here in Australia at all.

Hahahahah

You should google thanksgiving and then you’ll understand why we don’t celebrate it here…

So I read the entire wiki page and I concluded that noone ever really found out why they were celebrating thanksgiving, and they changed the date and the reasoning behind it 10,000 times. It’s history has nothing to do with australia, so it makes sense that I don’t know anything about it. Between all those politician, they finally figured out a date after 400 years. At least this holoiday is not as Absurd as celebrating the day that Murdering Hitler on a Boat arrived - Christopher Columbus. @ozenigma Do we in Australia celebrate Murdering Hitler on a Boat day? I can’t remember.

We in Australia do not celebrate murdering anyone.

Our media does though. That columbus day should be band.

No one was murdered. They “fainted”.

In all seriousness I agree totally.

Let what go??

The world isnt an evil place because of those who do evil, its evil because of those who see evil and do nothing about it. A.K.A Letting it go… We must Fight, unite, and destroy the things.

I did not say to let current evils go. But way too many people spend time crying about ancient sins instead of speaking out about current ones.

I speak out about heaps of current ones, I’m part of a movement here in Australia. I agree with ancient thing, but I was just speaking of it because it is these old thingies that have shaped alot of the beliefs and bullshit of today. Plus we were just having fun anyway talking about thanksgiving, holidays, and stuff. I learnt something from that wiki page yesterday to. History is important, and if we continue to ignore it, then we aint gonna learn from it. Our great and wise Attorney general George Brandis said - " Australians have a right to be Bigots " Do we really want to keep ignoring the past, and repeating the same mistakes??? That’s what they want, but it’s better we remember the things.

Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it. - Edmund Burke

Doesnt that statement from Edmund Burke kind of prove my point?
