Help identifying a card - Pokemon WotC QUESTIONS? Card

I hadn’t seen one of these before and after some digging I haven’t found anything. It’s the only card I’ve seen with the usual Pokeball on the back that isn’t… a Pokemon card. Hoping someone has some info/ origin of this:

When I was 13 I had the wonderful idea of trading my Jungle Holo Jolteon for this card with a friend. Reason being that I never had seen this card before and hence it should be the rarest of rarest Pokémon cards… Amazing logic ahahah I still have it I think, somewhere at my parents house.

I would say, and don’t quote me in here, that was released in the theme decks (maybe the foreign ones only?) for two reasons:

  • Was the only type of product that was release where this card could be inserted that I remember (not the 2 player starter because I had one of those, maybe the other 4 from base set)
  • A very bad image of a Zap theme deck in Portuguese

Definitely comes from foreigner theme decks! Here is a video of an Italian opening and you can see that he does take that card from the back at 1:46.

Interesting… Both are different cards (though the one in the video and the photo look the same) but very similar in many respects to the one I have. Must be on to something there. What what country of origin mine is.

I would bet on an UK print or an European English print to be distributed early before translations were ready. Maybe even US print with the sole intent of exporting. Maybe some other member can shed better light on this.

I don’t have mine with me right now, otherwise I would check to which of them it resembles.
