I think he’s concerned with what will raise faster which is an important thing to consider when spending thousands on a card. I’ve never bought anything for my collection hoping it stonks so I can sell it but I have tried to buy stuff I think has a lot of potential to raise because I want to get it now while its much cheaper.
Please no lillie, a few months ago you probably didnt even know these cards existed in the first place. Rest of the cards are one of the best out there. Cant go wrong with any of them.
I have many Lillie since 2019 ( Chinese too ) on my PC so it’s not new for me. I have a lot of waifus on my PC. I want to buy it before I can’t, so that’s why I put her on my list.
Than it makes completely sense. At this moment i would still go for one of the other cards and wait untill the Lillie craze is fully gone. I still dont understand where that sudden Lillie craze came from last months and probably never will.
Since it’s a personal collection, you should ask your heart what you like. Follow your heart. Monetary value should be secondary, though inherent.
When you’re about to sell, then consider this:
Other owners might sell at lower than market rate for their own private reasons (eg; urgent to sell for mortgage payments) but as seller, you need not follow them strictly. If your card has additional merits like swirls/orbs or is minter than average cards of the same, you can sell higher than market rate.
Market rate is only a general guide. Not mandatory to follow. Remember, willing buyer must have willing seller to make a deal.
