First off, how great to be a member of a site that is so useful to us Pokecollectors!
I have been a collector for many years and have obtained some great Pokemon pieces.
One of these pieces is my First Ed Base Booster Box. I acquired this box back in 2012. Since all the fuss regarding fake boxes I was keen to get on here and show you guys to get a strong indication on the opinion of this box. Based on all things discussed and read in relation to these fraudulent boxes I have no reason to believe it is anything but authentic, but would love your opinions on it nonetheless.
This box was posted previously and the consensus was real if I remember correctly. As with anything with a high value knowing the previous ownership history is helpful in determining validity if you can remember the seller? Other than that price paid is also an indicator i.e. if it was bought considerably cheaper than others at the time.
If you don’t mind me asking… what did this set you back in 2012? Or at least what general range were these selling for that year if that question is too prying?
I would love to see a chart on the sale prices of these 1999-date. It is fascinating that what sold for $100 18 years ago I am trying to buy currently for $12,000 and not finding any sellers.
