High value escrow

Trying to complete a high value deal, call it in the $50-100k range. The seller wants me to send first, I obviously want the seller to send first, natural for both of us . I proposed we allow one of the reputable members here to escrow (he ships to them, they confirm receipt, I wire to him, the escrow sends to me). Is this something done regularly and are there services setup for it? I believe someone quoted something crazy like 20% which seemed insane to me since in my other 2 lives I’ve escrowed a very healthy 8 figures collectively while charging $0, it was usually something done by reputable members of the community to help make it safe for lesser known members to transact (both poker and crypto are also like this).

Anyways, advice or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

I would maybe ask smpratte or kingpokemon if they would do it, I vaguely remember hearing they offer this kind of service but don’t quote me on that.
And if you are expecting to pay 20% which would be 10k-20k maybe at that point it is just cheaper and easier to meet up in person? Idk how far away you guys are.

yea there is no way in the world I’m paying 20%

I can see a flat fee of $100-$500 or something for brokering a very high value trade, but in no world should anyone be charging that kind of percentage for essentially forwarding a package and being a reputable individual.

How far away are you apart?

If domestic, take a nice flight

Or you could ask someone like @tca_gaming or @jcincy101 if they will do it for a fee, they might do it and make a video out of it if the collection is dope to give them some content. That’s just me though

edit: tags didnt work, zng plz change ur forum name to something easier to remember

Reach out to PWCC. I’ve heard they broke trades in this fashion before. Even if they didn’t normally the seller could just deposit into their own vault account then sell to your vault account and you can arrange shipment later on.

does pwcc authenticate in the vault? only prior to auctions right? Some of his objects are currently in the vault so this would be ideal if pwcc allows any sort of protections

Sealed product? They authenticate upon scanning them in I believe, that’s why sealed boxes take longer to go into the system than graded singles.

They can only really authenticate as best they can though, I doubt they have any authentication secrets us peasants don’t know about.

Yea completely understandable, but better than have a look than me not be able to have any look prior to sending payment

Is the seller from E4 or a random?

E4, fairly new member though
