Not historically significant but I think cool nonetheless and latest addition to my collection.
Some eevolutions test prints from Holon Research Tower.
The Umbreon and Flareon have different attacks than the released version. The Jolteon as a V in the card number.
The back is blank (there was no need to print the back as they are always the same).
They were test prints to check the holos so sadly no eevee.

A middleman I am working with came across the cards while working on a deal for another customer (something spicy).
Part of the requirement to close the deal was to have the cards authenticated. The parties working on behalf of the seller went to CGC in person with their story. My understanding is that the cards came from Akabane.

Amazing cards!
I understand why Akabane would want to sell his rare and test print cards, but part of me wishes that he would have partnered with TPC to make a museum or educational visitor center. So much history of the development of the TCG could have been preserved, but instead, most will be auctioned off to wealthy buyers.

I and a few others wished this as well, but I think secretly some of us (myself included) also wished this so we didn’t have to hope for it to become a goal. XD

And why would he have cards TPC does not?

Not that I think any of the artists would have test prints of their own cards, but if they did, would TPC allow them to so brazenly sell them like Akabane is doing?

Looks like someone preferred the new CGC label. I had this picture saved, and it’s the same card/cert.
