How common are print lines on Japanese cards?

I keep reading that Japanese cards are better printed than English ones, but I’ve just bought some V and VMAX cards and every single one of them across 5 or 6 sets, maybe more have print lines. Even 2 of the normal holos had print lines.

By contrast none of the English ones I’ve bought so far had any.

The texturing might be better but how can there be so many print lines? They are otherwise NM, so I don’t want to blame the seller too much but even so, they would’ve pulled these across 5/6 sets. That doesn’t seem like very consistent quality to me?

As an aside, two V cards from other sellers also had print lines.

And yes I’m aware of all the English miscuts, but this isn’t necessarily a comparison post as it is asking about what to expect from Japanese cards.

I can’t be that unlucky - and even if sellers were intentionally getting rid of those with print lines, how has it happened across a year+ worth of sets.

I have another link with red lines pointing them out, but perhaps it might be better if I don’t point them out.

Those type of print lines on Japanese cards are common. I would still consider them as mint though. It’s a very minor flaw and from my earlier grading experiences most of the time those print lines don’t even affect grading at all.

Thank you for your input!

Would you know why English cards do not have that problem and why if it is common, do they not try and fix it?

And when people talk about Japanese cards being of better quality, do they discount the print lines? If you say that grading companies overlook it, that could be why, but it’s a bit distracting for me once you notice where they are considering they are meant to be ‘premium’ so to speak over the common and uncommon cards.
