I just don’t know what I’ll do in the future when I have more graded cards. I have one shelf from Ikea though that I didn’t even build yet, I bought it thinking about putting rest of my figurines on it so there should be some space on it for some cards too
Those tins have bulk commons and uncommons btw. The boxes have a small piece of paper on the top saying what sets are inside. Some of them have empty booster packs as well.
Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, some of my favorite games ever. Still play them on occasion!
I don’t currently have a display set up as I think I’ll be moving this next Fall again, so I didn’t really think about it. Currently my Pikachu’s are all in binders - 3 of them.
@thetropicalwoodsman It definitely is last year’s Sauber I know it doesn’t fit so well with the Pokemon stuff though… xD And yeah, cleaning dusts is a bit of pain sometimes but caring well about it it’s not a huge problem in the end.
@justinator They are one of my favorite games of all time as well and sometimes I just need to play them. Got all the originals Would have been more fitting if my Pokemon games were visible, they are just a step below from those
Ah, pro-tip for those who use Ikea Detolf display cases (or any similar glass display case): Buy weather strips to seal off the spaces on the edge of the door to dustproof everything inside. I did it a month or two ago and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Wow @areestee and @xzini those are both awesome looking setups, mine like a lot of other people’s is all stored away in drawers/cupboards but eventually I would like to get something nice and built up like the both of yours.
Basically, you can go to any hardware store (like Home Depot or ACE Hardware) and pick it up for a couple of dollars. I’d recommend going in person to the store to pick out the measurements of the strips you want because that’s based on personal preference as long as you can seal up the space. For me, I used 5/8" thick strips for the two vertical walls and then 3/16" thick strips for the top, bottom, and the doors.
I tried my best to capture it on camera for you how I did it:
From far away, it’s a pretty subtle effect and barely noticeable… you may even say it adds to the overall look of it aesthetically.
No problemo @missingno , I really can’t emphasize how much I recommend these Detolf cases for anyone who wants to display a collection in this fashion; I’ve done my fair share of research on available options and nothing comes even close pricewise. These things cost $70 USD… most of us have spent more than that on single cards. There’s plenty of mods that you can do to mold it to suit your needs such as lighting it up with LEDs (which I know @colours has done) or even adding shelves. Really, the sky is the limit.
