Was just taking a look through my PSA cards and was curious on everyone else’s habits!
Anytime I want to give my eyes some rest of staring at a screen for too long or just when I’m in the mood for procrastinating
Also when someone mentions an error or some misprint and I remember I could have that card. That way I noticed I have a 1999-2000 Machamp, but that’s basically all that ever came from it.
After I neglected them for too long I’ve started to appreciate them again as often as I can.
I created my Ig to watch at my cards, so everytime I open it
how many of you have a display case for the psa cards? I see wayyyy to many people stuffing psa 10 gorgeous cards into a box to never be seen again
UV light is a powerfull ally, and a terrible foe.
most decent display cases are around 98% uv protected
Not a PSA collector myself - but I stop to have a look in my collection room almost every morning. With all the craziness going on around that is life, Pokemon has always been a calming constant for me. While my collecting has been a bit of a problem for me at certain times, stopping to look at my collection is a truly peaceful immersive moment for me to forget about everything else.
I look at my collection at least once a day. It’s easy for me to grab a few graded cards, open a binder, or review some cards I’m looking to submit for grading, and as others have echoed I find it calming. If I didn’t take the time to look through them in person at least semi-frequently, I don’t think I’d enjoy collecting nearly as much.
Pretty much rustle through stuff daily but some cards don’t get as much love and might only see sunlight a couple times a year. Today I pulled out my sports card collection which I haven’t looked through for a while.
Same as @papafrankgod, I put my (tiny) collection on Instagram so that I can admire them while they’re safely kept away
Everyday or every other day. I tend to remember roughly how much I paid piecing together each set. I remember which cards were hard to come by. I think of the few cards I have to upgrade their condition. (A few orders came creased which I need to go upgrade at one point. It’s very calming too like others have said. Sometimes I appreciate them the most when I’ve had a drink and think about how much money they are worth. Or the fact how old they are and i appreciate the fact I even have the privilege of owning them! Overall I love my collection so much I don’t think I can ever part with even a few cards. It would be too painful. For example I sell a charizard or Typhlosion or Umbreon etc and now I’m looking at my collection with a blatant whole of a hard to replace card which most worth a good amount are amoung my favorites. Sometimes I feel like I’m wasting my money especially sense I’ll never sell but I get a ton of joy and excitement looking at them and appreciating them. The historical value alone is like a mini museum of Pokemon history
This is next to my bed.
I probably turn the lights on 3 times a week.
I created my Ig to watch at my cards, so everytime I open it
agreed!
I take a gander usually every other day or so through my binder sets. Graded cards I take a peek less often.
I flip through some type of binder everyday.
I look through my collection every few days. I am currently in the process of reorganizing my collection.
I’ve got my collection in a couple of binders and arkhives by my bed so I look through it pretty regularly. It honestly depends on what strikes my fancy that day, sometimes I’ll want to go through my full art trainers so I do that, sometimes my wotc/vintage so I go through those. Other days it’ll be my PC binder so I’ll check those out, but it’s usually something everyday.
Multiple times a week. Hard to put an amount on it.
every few days. I mean i guess thats partly due to being busy daily, but whenever i get the chance i always pull out my psa boxes and flip through my favorites
