I created a Chrome extension to show eBay Best Offer prices

Hey ya’ll, just wanted to let you know that I created a chrome extension that reveals all the best offer prices with the click of a button. I was getting pretty tired of copying the listing ID → going to watchcount.com → pasting the ID → clicking submit → sometimes having to click another link to finally see the price for only one item. This extension lets you see all the best offer prices on the sold listings page with one click.

Here’s a video of the extension in action:

and here’s the link to the extension:
chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/best-offer-revealer/nbiicponegojlmlfpjnhkalegiicnegc

If you have any feedback or suggestions for further improvement, I’m all ears!

Edit: LOL, the endpoint I was using is now captcha limited. We had a great run everyone!

Unfortunately, I’ll need to unpublish the extension. Sorry duders. If I figure out a more kosher way to structure the app, I’ll be sure to let you guys know.

IT’S BACK BABY! I rewrote the extension so that it doesn’t just BURST eBay’s servers as soon as you load the ebay page. Hopefully this will prevent their servers from going into DDoS protection mode and stopping the app from functioning. The above image now doesn’t exaactly represent the app since you have to click a little button next to each price you want to see, but it gets the idea across :]

really cool

What a great idea, thanks for sharing! Gonna have to give it a try later.

Great work!

Port it to Firefox =)

If it’s not a total pain in the boot… maybe :stuck_out_tongue:

PS:

Cool, definitely going to give it a try! Btw is this only for ebay.com, or all sites?

Should work flawlessly with the following sites:

ebay.com.au

ebay.nl

ebay.es
ebay.it
ebay.ie
ebay.ch
ebay.be
ebay.at

Also, @ssjc has found the very first bug, hats off to him  Prices weren’t showing up for any listings that you personally had submitted an offer for - this has been fixed as of version 0.0.0.2 (which should show up shortly in the chrome web store). Should I pay him a bug bounty? Hmm…

ooo this will be really helpful thank you

your embedded video link is cool, interesting to note these, i thought you could pull this data easier from some other places, but ebay has made it harder recently.
