I think everyone knows here that Pokémon flashed the trophy khang in Pokémon Pocket. If Pokémon pocket has a legitimate marketplace where you can buy/sell/trade your cards would you buy in and collect on Pocket?

People are saying no until Pokémon maybe makes an event where if you collect enough cards they’ll mail you an exclusive Pokémon pocket promo physically

I do not plan on it. Way too easy to get distracted spending money there when I would be much better off spending it anywhere else

Pocket will have exclusive cards/card experiences so I wager there will be a marketplace, even if it’s unofficial i.e. people selling their accounts on 3rd party sites like they do for pokemon go
NFTs and the in-game skins trend in gaming shows that people are willing to spend money on digital assets. TPC is banking on the fact that people want to spend money on digital cards with this new service. Also people like to speculate on Pokemon products digital or otherwise.
I imagine that we’ll see some form of FOMO and over-speculation like for most hype cycles. Build your phone farm now

That’s where I think it’s possible. Digital aesthetics are already popular in other games.
Can’t wait for people creating multiple accounts in order to get more units than usual … and then reselling them on eBay

I likely won’t spend much, if any, real money on it. But I will absolutely open the free daily packs and collect with the app. It looks really cool.

Maybe a half-baked collection without spending real money. I’ve seen too many apps eventually close down and people lose thousands once it’s gone, so I stay away from them. Had my fair share of paying for pulls in college and I’m over it.

According to the announcement video you can open 2 free packs per day. And they intend to release the app sometime in 2024.
