In light of the upcoming illustration contest, this is (I believe) every standard-sized card that was the winner of some sort of illustration or art submission contest.

I ignored the snap ones as I don’t really find them all that creative personally (whilst some skill was likely involved with all of them, they’re nothing more than screenshots at the end of the day).

Kyogre, Gyarados, Magikarp mainly because I love water types the most and these are among my most favorite ones.
Poliwrath despite being water type isn’t a favorite of mine but it’s definitely my favorite illustration out of the contest winners.
Pikachu because the giant close up face.
I love the look of the ho-oh, even though it’s a Illusion’s Zoroark card.
Gourgeist card because the collage of ghost Pokemon.
Charizard looks sleek and modern.

Was there an illustration grand prix in 2021? I have the 2019 Gardevoir, and the 2020 Charizard. It looks like they will announce another winner in 2022, but I can’t find anything about 2021.

might be wrong, but i think the winner announced this year will be for the 2021 contest. i remember seeing something about an illustration contest for 2021…
