Info on Print Lines / Grades

How do PSA see these style of print lines in regards to grading, otherwise mint cards no marks but significant print lines.

The squirtle has top to bottom on the reverse holo.

The one with the line on the rear of the card is a different card but how is it graded if its on the rear. Has anyone graded with this type of defect?

Print lines means a lower grade from PSA. My very amateur guess is that card would be a 9 assuming the only issue is that print line.

Yer, that was the basis of my post. Trying to see if a line like this can drop the grade similar to a dent where they go to 6/7

Yup I had lots of LC with print lines. Never get 10s

I graded an LC reverse Gyarados with an identical print line and it graded a PSA 9. Granted the card was otherwise absolutely perfect.

I think it’s pretty clear based on the evidence that print lines are one of the things PSA graders look for when evaluating the card. If they notice the print line the card will get a 9 at the absolutely max.

Thanks @lugiaslair249 , nice to reference it to something similar.

I Expect it to be seen as a flaw, not going for gem mint here. I just wanted to know as its not a small holo print line, its a top to bottom card print line. In this case would it just make it a 9 if the rest of the card is flawless, or is it seen as a considerable mark down on the card like a crease and end up like a 5. Its not damage but it is incorrect for how it is supposed to look.

I own the squirtle, pulled it myself but Im actually interested in purchasing the 2nd card with the line on the back, as I would like it in a 9, its a nice mewtwo. I was looking to see if anyone had similar and what the result was

Depends on the grader, I think for the most part they will knock it down a grade but I have quite a few 10s with similar print lines and they don’t really bother me.

Does it matter where the print line is located and how it affects the eye appeal. I imagine any print lines directly down the middle of the Pokemon would detract. A line directly on the border would be very noticeable.

Card will get dinged for print lines no question. Unless a grader doesn’t do his job but otherwise expect at least a point off for a significant one.

Not sure, would have to look in my collection. Probably makes a difference.
