About a month ago the Japanese 1st edition CP6 set was released. The Korean CP6 set followed a few weeks later.
Now the English, German, French, Italian and Spanish Evolutions sets have been released.
I already know from a Brazilian collector that the Evolutions set won’t be released in (Brazilian) Portuguese (it’s completely cancelled, not postponed).
So that leaves me with the Russian TCG. I know XY and Furious Fists have been printed in Russian (I’m only missing the XY Reverse Holo in my Pikachu Collection).
But how about the Roaring Skies (EDIT: Roaring Skies comfirmed to exist), BREAKthrough, Generations and Evolutions sets? Have these been released in Russian? And what about special boxes, like the Red & Blue EX boxes (specifically Pikachu EX obviously ), or the XY174 Pikachu EX tin, or the XY Evolutions Theme Decks?
I can’t seem to find a lot of information regarding Russian TCG cards, except for the XY set.
I will ask my source in Russia to see if they’re getting anything and let you know. I hope not though lol. Going broke with these multilingual charizards~
Just got word back from a Russian collector. Apparently there are no special boxes, and the only set releases are XY through Ancient Origins. This means XY, Furious Fists and Roaring Skies regarding Pikachus.
Although, they did have the XY Holo Pikachu and I’ve also seen a Fraokie promo in Russian. So I will ask him a bit more.
Ok, talked a bit more to him, and here’s what I got:
The only set releases in Russian are: XY; Flashfire; Furious Fists; Phantom Forces; Primal Clash; Roaring Skies; and Ancient Origins.
They are expecting BREAKthrough and BREAKpoint in the near future, probably before the end of the year.
Generations won’t be released in Russia as far as he could tell.
And news about the other sets (Fates Collide; Steam Siege; Evolutions) is currently unknown.
As for promotional/special releases, they currently only have four XY blisters promos. All three XY starter Pokémon (XY01; XY02; XY03), and the XY Pikachu (046/146):
Those are the only promotional/special Russian releases so far, but he told me that the three Battle Hearts Tins will be released simultaneously with BREAKthrough or BREAKpoint, which means the XY173 Volcanian EX; XY174 Pikachu EX; and XY175 Magearna EX.
As for good news for me: He’s currently in the process of getting the regular and Reverse Holo Roaring Skies Pikachus from somewhere and he already has the Reverse Holo XY Pikachu, and he will sell all three to me. This would complete my 7 out of 7 Russian Pikachus for my collection. That would be the second language I would have completed, after the 6 out of 6 for Dutch. (3 out of 4 for both Chinese and Polish, though).
And if everything goes well with that deal, I can always contact him for the BREAkthrough and XY174 tin Pikachus when they are released.
As far as I remember, we have these time:
Chestnaught/Delphox/Greninja,
Xerneas/Yveltal,
Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise,
Groudon/Kyogre,
Sceptile/Blaziken/Swampert
Maybe Rayquaza/Deoxys too, not sure.
Also, we’ll get lots of cool things in ~20 Days:
Pikachu, Volcanion, Hoopa, Magearna, Shiny Xerneas and Yveltal.
Oh, and here I thought I had a contact that knew a lot about the Russian releases…
Ah well, I still have all Russian Pikachu cards incoming (he send me a message that he acquired the two Roaring Skies ones today), as well as guaranty to get upcoming Russian Pikachu releases.
For information about the TCG I guess nothing beats the E4 fourum.
An old thread, but it triggered me. Since I collect Mews in the way you collect Pikachus, I was wondering if we could work something out regarding the Mew for Fates Collide (through your contact)?

I know there were some McDonalds Russian promo cards from last year…someone BIN before I could. Does your Russian contact have any info on these at all?
There are indeed Russian McDonald’s 2016 cards. I got the Pikachu. But I don’t have it from my contact. IIRC I bought it from eBay.com. Here is a picture:
PS: Just got word from my contact regarding something else. Russian sets have been released from XY through BreakThrough, as well as some loose promos / blisters / these McDonald’s cards. But from now on all sets will be in English again he told me. (I did hear from someone else that Russian will release Sun & Moon Decks, but my Russian contact said they won’t - all will be English from now on. So I’ve removed them from my list, but if anyone does see Russian Sun & Moon cards certainly let me know.)
