I checked eBay’s completed listings and didn’t see any sold. Does any know the true value of this card at a PSA 8/raw? Is there even a market for these promo errors?
I would say this error is much more on the collectible side of things compared to the other stuff people try and sell at outrageous prices and there is 26 people watching so… that means there’s at least 26 people that are interested.
That’s mine, I expect it to sell for $800. I’m not in a huge rush to sell it either so I plan on it sitting for a while, there’s only 30 in the world so I’ll get my price eventually.
Dragonite suffers from being too readily available over the years. If any of the others pop up for $800 they sell within the month. It’d probably be beneficial if I took mine down for a year, but it’s a good traffic driver so I don’t.
Sure thing. I’ve uploaded some pictures. There is some edge funkiness along the top which is highlighted in one of the pictures. Then the back bottom right corner has some pretty serious whitening. Other than that the card looks pretty good to me. I’m thinking it would score a 7. What do you think?
They had no idea. It was in a page with a few other promos at the end of a base/jungle/fossil set collection I picked up. I almost missed the error too! I think I’ll grade this sucker at some point.
Pikachu was on eBay not long ago at all, graded at a 6 if I remember correctly (could be wrong on that). It didn’t sell, and was listed in the $600 range with about $100 shipping from Australia to US. I almost bought it but wasn’t at a good place financially to drop that much for it.
I always thought that PSA grades were based on the physical condition of the card. So, if a card has a printing error on it, they’ll deduct a point even if the card is otherwise in pristine condition?
A PSA Gem Mint 10 card must be free of staining of any kind, but an allowance may be made for a slight printing imperfection, if it doesn’t impair the overall appeal of the card.
