Is it true? Can't ship sealed product from Japan

I’ve heard people say that Japan post and other services that deal in shipping overseas won’t allow the sender to ship sealed product anymore D: Is it true? Has anyone heard anything about it? thanks

And where did you hear about this, do you have any actual context?

From a seller that deals and buys japanese cards and has a middleman/contact in Japan. They context was about FedEx making people open their packages before accepting them for shipping (you have to show the content inside), but I guess in the US it’s probably something common already (I live in Italy). Among the various comments this news about Japan was brought up regarding Yamato (the shipping company) and JapanPost.

Don’t know if it’s true, that’s why I’m asking, also the seller was going to dig more infos abou this

Not heard about this before. I order sealed Pokémon stuff from Japan to the UK. It gets sent by FedEX but not had any issues or opened items.

Hmmmm. I haven’t heard anything about this… I have a load of sealed product due to me within the next couple of weeks. This will be via Fedex (Japan to UK). Guess I’ll have to wait and see!

I also have some stuff that was sent to me this week using JapanPost, but the middleman said nothing so I guess everything’s fine for now, the seller said it’s something that it’s going to be implemente from monday, we’ll see.
The only different thing from the usual/past years is how the tracking says ‘‘it’s in progress the verfication of the shipment for its release’’ or something like that after it said that they were done veryfing the shipment.

No idea what’s happening, I hope it’s nothing, but if you hear anything let me know, thanks^^

I buy pokemon cards from Japan every single week.
