My main issue is that the name printed does not match the signed name (on the card it says “ills. Takumi Akabane” but the signed part reads “Tujikama .Pa”)
I sent him a message and this is his reply.
Me: Hello, do you have any verification that the signature is legitimate? I would love to buy it, but first have to make sure that the signature is real. Any information would be great, thanks so much!
Seller:
"dear customer
Thank you very much for your question.
I got autographs side by side at the autograph session, so I can not light the genuine, but I can put it if it is a receipt of Pokemon authorized store.
Thanks for your help and replies guys! Since I was already on the fence, I will not buy the card and risk it. If only the PSA authenticated more Pokemon illustrators… Maybe one day
I have only seen him sign with Japanese characters. Also for the record, the signature says “PCL” as in the “Pokémon Card Laboratory”, not “Pa”. I don’t think the seller even knows what they are selling. I can’t decipher the last two characters in the name. I did a bunch of google searches and found no matches. My guess is that it’s some PCL employee and not Akabane.
This isn’t Akabane’s signature so that card isn’t signed by the illustrator. It doesn’t mean this isn’t a legit signature, but I have no idea who that Tujikawa person is. Obvious pass here. lol
