And stop saying reverse holos for cards from ex Hidden Legends- ex Power Keepers. They are alt holos and I’m tired of pretending they are not.
That is all.

I agree
Never.
And alt holos just doesn’t roll off the tongue, like stamped or reverse.
You can workshop a new name. Reverse is a disgraceful name for those beauts
Stamped parallels?
aren’t they actually called parallel holos?
Hmm idk seems like it’s getting complicated. I think alt-foil rolls off better than alt-holo tho
That works too Haha
Whenever I hear someone say foil, I think of some old man who just started looking at Pokemon cards for the first time, and thinks, hmm, foil
Lmao I guess that name was foiled then.
for me it makes more sense to rename “cards that are typically non-holo that have a holo variant” to something more general than reverse holos, rather than specifically renaming these sets.
Personally, I’m good with “reverse” even if it’s a misnomer sometimes. People know what you’re talking about. Maybe “reverse” shouldn’t be that the holo is reversed, but that a non-holo card is “reversed” and two negatives make a positive
Holographic foil*
The problem is that there are normally holo cards from those sets that also receive the reverse holo treatment. But yeah, it’s not really a serious topic, just thought it might create some fun discussion about that unique era of holo cards.
Yeah something like that. I’ve got a few Electrodes like that as well. It’s also interesting that you post that specific one because it has a hybrid reverse/stamp holo going on there.
Japan has kept it simple for any foil reprint of nonholo or holo set cards, ‘mirror foil’
I still say that if we call e-series reverse holos and d&p era reverse holos that name then reverse holo is at least for me an okay name to call ex era ones too, it’s the same slot in packs for all eras so for continuity it’s more simple to have the same term. Anyway i consider reverse holo just as a name of card type just like prime or amazing rare, it’s just a name that groups a bunch of cards in a certain framework
I think it’s just too late to change something that old. Too many people already understand what you mean when you say FRLG reverse holos and changing that would take years of unlearning. It would be like trying to rename shadowless to Gary’s original idea, “No-Shadow”.
