Spotted on the official Pokemon Instagram!

Looks like these cards could just be gifts to some of the artists on the 25th Anniversary Album. Hope we get to see Katy Perry V and Pikachu one day!

For those curious who this is (I had to look it up) - Apparently J Balvin is one of Colombia’s biggest artists, close to 50m on IG: www.instagram.com/jbalvin/

UPDATE: Now also Katy Perry V, Post Malone V and J Balvin V are on the official P25 Music Website!

The set number for J Balvin V apparently references his birthday - Same with the other three cards!

doubt many ppl can afford to buy out an artist with over 50 million followers on their IG. That’s more than Eminem, Adele, theweeknd, etc

I like the artwork on the cards especially the J Balvin V.

Set numbers are a bit interesting. Maybe it is related to track numbers, certain dates, or perhaps I’m way off. Oops I was looking way too much into the music side of things and it’s definitely their birthday.

Where Pikachu and Pichu appeared in Katy Perry’s music video all this is to me is another missed opportunity for Pichu to appear on a card.

That said, they kinda look like the sort of thing I’d get an advert for on Facebook with a caption of “I’ll turn you and your pet into a Pokémon card!!”, so I guess I’m not all that disappointed.

I’m not really all that excited by these but that’s probably because I’m not down with the kids. Katy Perry is the only one whose music I’ve heard before - I only know Post Malone by name and I’ve never heard of J Balvin until now. I imagine this must be really awesome if you’re one of their fans though.

Good chance now we have these hi-res scans they are intending to release them as real cards, it’s more than what we got for Ishihara GX and the like.

My guess is that preorders for the P25 hoodies, vinyls etc have been really slow and they are going to use the cards as purchase incentives - It worked REALLY well for Special Delivery Pikachu which pretty much cleared EVERY cheap item from the Pokemon Center.

I thought these cards were weird but after spending some time looking at them and stuff, I realize I really like them. I like how cute Katy Perry’s is, the bold lines and colors on Post Malone are nice, and J Balvin’s is literally the coolest one. Hopefully we can get these cards or something because so far, this looks cool as hell.

Certainly a big fan of Katy Perry and J Balvin, Post Malone is meh for me.
