Japanese Booster Boxes

Do people collect Japanese booster boxes ?

The art on the box is so unique and enjoyable. I only recently started collecting but I’m ready to dive all in. Where’s some of the best places to get boxes from in your experience ? Also which artwork is your favorite ? TIA and enjoy collecting

“Do people collect x?”
The answer is virtually always yes

For modern boxes, I think that Double Blaze and Forbidden Light boxes are beautiful, big fan

Because I’m too poor.

Another acceptable reason would be that you can’t find any…

Also feel free to download the image! Feels almost the same as having it in real life!!:clown_face:

@zaishen can’t collect something that doesn’t exist!

But yes, if boxes are your thing then Japanese 3rd/4th gen is the place to be. The only problem is that some of them are damn near impossible to find.

I’m personally not a huge fan of the 10-pack boxes, but CP3 would be a good one if you are. Some of the recent 30-pack boxes are really good, and very attainable.

Damn, if I only knew this earlier I could’ve saved so much money on my collection! :wink:

Jokes aside, for vintage I don’t have the funds for boxes, but I’m very satisfied with the artworks the booster packs deliver.

Haven’t added anything to here in many months, though. They’ve become very expensive, too.

However, most recently I just got myself a few Tag Team boxes. Alter Genesis is on its way.

At the current prices, they offer fantastic value and have amazing artwork. Gotta admit, I bought them with the intention to make a few bucks down the road, but they’re SO beautiful, I don’t know if I could let them go.

Love the art on the boxes but outside of the high class boxes like Shiny GX I find the value totally sucky. I wish they would put one full art Pokémon and one alternate art or full art trainer card in each box. I realise the point of the boxes is for deck building and the special rare card is purely a bonus, but as a collector getting a bog-standard full-art Pokémon as your one reward is always a major disappointment.
