Japanese Jungle short pack

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share what I received one week ago.

A Jungle Short Pack ! I am so happy to own one; I clearly did not think I would have this pack one day.

For the story, I was not really interested in it at the beginning but when I discovered its rarity I started to be interested a lot.
I was focused on getting an unlimited World Champions Pack but as soon as I got one, I tried to find some really cool and rare packs like this one or an unlimited japanese L3 booster pack (what a pain, I still only know one sealed unlimited L3 pack (gymleadertaylor is the owner)).

So I got the opportunity to buy+trade this jungle short pack ! I am not really sure about its rarity. From what I heard it is as rare as the base set short pack but oddly I have seen far less jungle short packs than base set short packs (I would say I have seen 6-8 jungle short packs and more than 20-25 base set short packs since 2016, and I only know 4 persons who have a jungle short pack).
Anyone has more info ?

Very cool packs! The difference with the Base packs IMO is that there is more myth around it due to the no-rarity cards they might contain.
I don’t think the Jungle cards are any different so it is “just” the pack that is different.
Still really cool though. I was lucky enough to have held a sealed short pack Jungle booster box.

Yes I think it is one of the reasons cards are the same, but still very strange I did not see more jungle short packs !
WoW crazy ! I only knew the existence of 2 booster boxes, one Aron owns and the one that was on eBay several weeks ago (i think it’s the same that was sold several years ago on eBay too)

I would say it is safe to say that in regards to production numbers there would have been less Japanese jungle short packs made in comparison to Japanese base set short packs produced as Base set was printed for a longer period of time if you imagine both short pack designs were ceased at the same time. Regardless at this point in time I would say both booster packs are equally as rare. I say this as like others have mentioned, Japanese base set short packs do have a possibility of no rarity so they have had a greater demand over time in comparison to short Jungle packs which you have no reason to open. For that reason, I believe that is why I have seen less sellers with Base set Japanese short packs then jungle short packs. But I have not been keeping tally.

However, I do not believe either short pack to be as rare as unlimited WCP, L2 and L3 from a sealed pack stand point.

It’s strange you have seen less base set short packs sales ! How many jungle short packs have you seen emerged ?
With the recent stock that popped on Mercari and Yahoo I would say I have seen 8 or maybe maximum 10 different jungle short packs. I only know one other French collector who owns one and he received it on the same day as me haha.
I have seen so many base set short packs in the last five years. I would say easily more than 20 or even 30 ! They really often pop on eBay or Japanese websites.

And yeah unlimited WCP, L2 and L3 are unicorns ! I only know 2 unlimited WCP packs that are still unopened and one unlimited L3. For L2 do you have info ? I have never seen any packs… do you know if UED L2 and UED L3 came in booster boxes ?
