I’ve seen a variant of the pikachu autumn battle road promo with a gold stamp. Is the gold stamp rarer, and how much so? I was told there’s only a handful of psa 10’s and psa doesn’t differentiate between the gold stamp and no stamp so the pop of the gold stamp is estimated to be 3 or less I heard. So anyone have an estimate value on both non stamp and stamp?
I’m wondering if anyone knows an approximate population of the card in circulation. There’s a few listings on eBay with the gold stamp for $600+, but two psa 8’s of the gold stamp sold for $35. Were those just under the radar listings?
The gold stamp is a little more rarer, since you had to win it in the 3rd or 4th round of the 2005 autumn battle road. The other one was given to all participants and it is bit more common. That being said , the gold stamp is not a 600$ card. They probably sell lower via auction, but via bin the psa sales should be higher. I would assume at least PSA 8 and 9 sell for under 120$ max.
What about psa 10? There’s at most 3 psa 10’s, minimum one. Is that card classified as a trophy card? And I’m wondering if anyone knows an approximate print number of these cards for this event
Tbh, I think there are actually more than just a couple of PSA-10s of this stamped card. EDIT: Ok, maybe not. The PSA POP report states 7 PSA-10 in total for both with and without stamp, so your estimate of 3 is probably correct. For what it’s worth, I bought mine for around 125 USD 2.5 year ago. I couldn’t find it ungraded at the time, haha. Here is a (pretty bad/old) picture of mine:
The card with stamp ungraded sells for around 55-85 USD from what I’ve seen. Not sure about the one without stamp, but probably 30-55 USD. I’m not very familiar with the PSA-grade vs price of these two cards, but I would be pretty surprised if I have a 600 USD PSA-10 card in my possession tbh…
PS: I have no intention of selling it, but it’s interesting to hear that one of my cards has increased in value instead of decreased, unlike some of the more expensive cards I have bought (i.e. Event Organized stamped 175/XY-P and YOU Wagon Promo Pikachus, which I paid around 900 USD each for, and which are worth around 175 and 300 USD respectively right now…)
