Why are Japanese shining cards much more expensive than English shining? (wotc) lower pop?
Harder to obtain, harder to grade, look much better.

English neo shinings (and e reader crystals) have the same pull rates as regular holos from those sets. Japanese Neo shinings were much harder to pull. And I also agree that they look much better.

Basically this, lower pullrate, they were released first, there is only 1 version, so rarer than 1st ed english, and I agree they do look a lot better

Which data are you basing your statement on? I bought some graded Japanese Shinings a year ago and back then, they were cheaper than the English ones on the market
Ebay sold and current listings. I was expecting what you experienced last year, I remember them always being cheaper than the English side and I have been checking lately and poof now they’re 2x more. (mainly citing shining gyarados)
@mrtz, Hm, on one hand I’m happy because the Japanese shinings finally get the credit they deserve. On the other hand, that will make it harder to complete the set…

@ripguyfawkes yeah they’re really nice, just have to keep chipping away at the goals to get em now
I agree english 1st ed were more expensie than japanese one sin the past, and I really hope that changes, but english is the most popular language so… idk
