Came across a listing for a Japanese box. I have never once seen a japanese WOTC box without oval seals, are these re-sealed?

Potentially a factory resealed box that was opened to apply 300 yen stickers to the packs due a tax increase in 1997.
However, I’d advise caution. This is not a confirmed and or a widely known practise. It could be a malicious reseal with the intent to deceive.

Sorry to be that guy as I can’t even help you with your question. I just have to point out that there are no Japanese WOTC products. Japanese Pokemon TCG was distributed by Media Factory up until 2006. WOTC only had the license to produce and sell Pokemon cards for the Western market.
It’s a pet peeve of mine, sorry.
