As the title says… I’m not really familiar with gold star prices ungraded in psa 10 condition.
I’m more into WOTC, E-series overall. Can anyone help me? Like there’s nothing on eBay in this condition with a fair price
and the PSA 9 goes for +$300 and the 10 almost $900. Uhm… so what’s a fair price ungraded?
The last auction for a 10 contender went for about $200.
The real answer is… get that thing graded.
p
exactly. You could potentially make $500+. Spend the money now and have someone do a $17 5 day.
Get it graded for sure as others have said, especially if you believe it to be Gem Mint quality.
The way the market is shaping up for Gold Stars, you’ll be hard-pressed to find ANY PSA 10 Gold Star card (with the exception of the legendary dogs trio) under $1k in 2018; there are already many of the more popular ones touching on $1k as it is in a PSA 9 grade and this is only trending upwards.
If you don’t care to get it graded then $350-400 ungraded is the minimum i’d sell for personally.
A card is only PSA 10 after it’s been graded and encapsulated by PSA. “PSA 10 ungraded condition” doesn’t technically exist. Especially with English cards, 10s are unlikely even if you have a mint condition, fresh from pack card.
The best bet is to spend the money and get it graded if its mint, as many have suggested already.
As has been said definitely get it graded, until you do you wont see a premium on it as the buyers will only look to grade the card themselves. As for the value of the card, when buying ungraded cards that i think will get 10s, i aim to pay psa 9 price at most as paying more and having it not grade a 10 seems silly when you can simply remove the risk by just buying a 10. Dont get me wrong there are a few exceptions where i would go higher but its only for a few cards where the 10 premium is huge.
Nah, I hate PSA. It literally destroys the charm of the cards.
Me personally is a mint-binder-collector lol. I would never grade cards.
It’s sold and I sold it for $180 and nearly bought it for $60 so I’m happy about that.
I live in Sweden, so the grading process and prices takes months. There’s also import charges and shipping from the US which is more than the actual value of this card or any card of the cards I can grade from my personal collection.
If I lived in the US I would, but not as it is today.
Thanks for your replies tho
I’ll be honest, I am more of a binder person too. However, members are really suggesting you to grade cards in this thread because you said your Kyogre was “PSA 10 Mint”. If you just said your card is mint and want to sell it that way, people won’t really push you towards grading as much. But the fact that you said it was PSA 10 mint but it’s not graded is misleading and can bring you trouble in the future. PSA 10 Gem Mint is a PSA subjective grading standard, and people are willing to pay a much higher premium for that standard. While the card may not be perfect even at PSA 10, buyers who buy a PSA 10 is expecting perfection. You may get a pissed off buyer in the future if you throw arbitrary grades around, or sees a barely noticeable scratch.
I feel your pain because I’m not from the states either so it sucks big time to get cards graded by PSA, and it’s insanely time consuming and expensive process. Unfortunately, with the increase of counterfeits and poor judgment from sellers in selling poor condition cards, PSA is more of an obligatory process nowadays in order to ensure you get the exact card you want.
