Legendary Collection Reverse print lines

I acquired some LC reverse Holos and a significant amount have print lines. How do print lines affect grade for a card that would otherwise be a PSA 10? The cards are mostly commons and uncommons so would it be worth grading them with print lines?

Print line cards will have a max grade of 9. Every so often you’ll see the outlier case pop up on ebay that got a 10, but 99.9% will max out at 9.

I don’t think that’s entirely true. I’d say print lines are the break between a weak 10 and strong 9. If the card is impeccable, one line will likely not knock it down, based on a good amount of cases I’ve seen. Especially with PSA, nowadays. But it is definitely a point down in grading terms, no doubt about that.

I agree with hypernova, but I think 99.99% is pushing it.

This set is known for these print lines. The holos have issues as well, that’s why you see cards like Dark Blastoise or Charizard never getting a 10 even if it’s almost flawless. Hell, I have a pack fresh PSA 8 Holo Charizard that has perfect centering and 0 whitening yet it has 2 little factory lines on the holo.

To answer your question OP, the 9s don’t seem to earn very much especially commons/uncommons. It’s entirely up to you if you want to make that gamble. I say it is worth it on certain cards, but make sure you pick ones that are in very very good conditon.

We’re not talking about any print lines, we’re talking about legendary collection print lines, like this:

Seems to depend on the grader, I would say they definitely have a less chance at a 10 but if it’s flawless and only has a print line you could get 10s. I have several 10s with these lines and it does not bother me personally.
