List of All Known TCG Minor Holo Shift Cards (Misaligned Holos)

Hello everyone,

Due to how many holo shift cards that we’ve discovered, I decided to split up my original post into multiple posts. This post will cover the minor holo shifts, while the original only covers the major holo shifts.

I apologize that the pictures aren’t the best but I had to get a lot of these images from many different sources. I’m choosing to exclude the sources because these are very desirable cards and I don’t want those people to be spammed with offers if they aren’t looking to sell. If you wish to have your name known then you can either PM me or respond to this post and I will do my best to add your name next to the cards that you own. All contributions are encouraged and I will try to update the post as new contributions come in!

For the purposes of this article, I’m going to define “major holo shifts” as holo shifts which are very obvious at a glance, while “minor holo shifts” are holo shifts that are only apparent upon closer inspection. Minor holo shifts are usually only shifted by about ~1mm.

Due to changes in the way that cards were printed, this post will ONLY cover cards that were printed before the Black & White series (up until 2011), meaning Full Art cards will not be covered in this post.

Hi any chance of adding non holos aswell? What you refer to as holo shifts cgc labels them as misaligned print layer errors of which happens to both holos and non holos. If you have a look at the cgc errors page it lists many different types of error and if you just want misaligned print layer holos then thats absolutely fine ill start another thread for just those. I love seeing the holos posted but i also love the non holos. Ive got a non holo dragonite misaligned print layer and would love to see more non holos aswell as holos. Thanks Jac.

Holo shifts are an emerging market right now. They were rarely discussed in the past, cool to see them getting attention! If anyone ever comes across a Blastoise or Mewtwo Base holo shift, slide into my dms!

I’m glad to hear you like it! It has taken a lot of work scouring the internet but it’s been really fun because it’s pretty much like a treasure hunt - you never know what you’ll find.

I do know that there is a holo shift Blastoise out there, but I have no idea who owns it. I’ve only seen it posted on worthpoint and that has since been removed. I plan on making a post in the near future about holo shift print run estimations so keep an eye out for that

Cards from the old Japanese sets often have a minor white layer shift. Just like the Kabutops in my collection thread. My ink smeared Haunter is shifted as well, you can use them if you want or i can make better picture to show it of. ^^
