List of Scarlet & Violet Set Cards with Cosmos Holo Variation

Wanted to put together a formal list/guide to the Scarlet & Violet set cards that have a pixel cosmos holo variety. This isn’t intended to be a discussion on Pixel and HD variations or SV promo cards.

In my humble opinion, aside from Alt Art/Special Illustration Rares, these SV cards with the throwback cosmos holo are the best thing to come out of modern. Perfect blend of vintage flavors with modern flair.

I believe the Sam’s Club Crown Zenith Premium Sea & Sky Collection has a Rayquaza and a Kyogre that is Cosmo Holo.

I expect them to be printed with the current pixel cosmos holo but they are from SWSH and Rayquaza is a reprint of the promo from the three pack blisters from Rebel Clash.

Speculative upcoming SV cosmos cards:
Larvitar and Pupitar from Obsidian Flames in the Tyranitar ex Premium Collection and Charmander and Charmeleon from 151 in the upcoming Charizard ex Super Premium Collection.

Also suspect this Espartha from Paradox Rift to be cosmos as well.

Also can confirm that this years Trick or Trade BOOster series features cosmos holos (Previous years feature the same holo used in the main sets).

Wife and I just got back from a cup- she got second and I got 5th, which made for a lot of prize packs between the two of us!

Not sure if it was posted yet, but all of the ancient and future cards have their reverse pattern with the cosmos through half of the card, making them different from the promo cosmos cards- truly beautiful.

Congrats on the well placing at the cup. I appreciate you sharing the image and excitement. This is how all of the Ancient/Future cards that have been printed for “promos” have been. Here’s a Scream Tail example.

Thank you, we had a lot of fun! I could’ve sworn the cosmos booster capsules in the ex boxes didn’t have the reverse foil patterning, but it appears I remembered incorrectly. Unfortunately no dodrio in any of our packs, but I’m happy to ask around our team for you and see if anyone else opened one!

Dodrio is the only one from series 5 that I have yet to see. Curious if it is just a hard pull or strange coincidence.

More cosmos holos coming in the 2024 Holiday Calendar due to be released August 23rd.

Past iterations have featured three ultra rare and five regular rare holos, so expect at least five more cosmos holos.

Speculative options for the holos are:

• Eiscue ex - confirmed
• Chien-Pao ex
• Ceruledge
• Pikachu - Can basically pen this one in
• Snorunt
• Cetodle
• Iron Bundle - I think this is a strong candidate considering the current push for Ancient/Future Pokemon
• Riolu
• Sawsbuck
• Arctibax
• Greavard
• Gogoat
• Vanilluxe

Also, Alakazam and Chandelure from Twilight Masquerade will be cosmos holos in the Surging Sparks Premium Checklane blisters.

Greavyard from Obsidian Flames is featured in the upcoming Houndstone ex Box, expect it to be cosmos as well.

Lastly, perhaps the Tatsugiri shown on the Squawkabilly Trainer’s Toolkit will be a cosmos holo? Previous iterations of the Trainer’s Toolkit did not include holo but they also did not advertise non ultra rares on the box. We shall see.

Some updates: Koraidon and Miraidon from Temporal Forces appear as cosmos holos(again) in the Stellar Crown Stage 1 Blisters.

Expect to see cosmos variants of Temporal Forces Hoothoot and Noctowl in the upcoming Bloodman Ursaluna ex Box.(11/15/2024)

And Teal Mask Ogerpon from Twilight Masquerade will assumingly get another cosmos print in the Ogerpon ex Premium Collection Box.(11/15/2024)
