Looking for more info about these small 3d lenticular stickers

Hello, I’m trying to find more information for the following stickers. They are “3d” (bulge outwards), lenticular stickers. About 28.5mm x 25mm in size each

Apologies for the poor photos. It’s really hard to get the Japanese letters to show in the photos

Any information about these are appreciated, thanks!

These are cutouts from TOMY Puffy Sticker sheets. They typically look like this but the packaging can vary:

Edit: I am incorrect in my assessment. Please see @nidokingdom 's post below.

Thank you for the info! Do you know if there is some compilation of all the different sticker sheets somewhere? Or possibly a name for the lenticular stickers?

I was able to find some TOMY puffy stickers on eBay but there isn’t much info about them and I couldn’t find the lenticular stickers in particular. Some eBay listings:

I did find a 2007 D&P lenticular sticker sheet, but produced by a different company (Media Factory?):

Unfortunately I have yet to see a full set and I know in English people will refer to them as Lenticular Puffy Stickers but not sure about their Japanese name. It’s harder to come by than the non-Lenticular but unfortunately I do not have much more info than that.

I would suggest reaching out to @nidokingdom on IG. I bet he would have more info. Just not sure if he looks here very often.

Helloooo !
This is one of the lucky sets I got a sealed pack. These stickers came with Meiji chocolate snacks, there’s apparently 42 stickers in the set (says on the box) however there may be another set ? Because I have totodile one I don’t think it comes from the same set.

In this link you will find pictures of my set (missing 3) and a picture of the box

I’m so glad I can help on this !

Wow, the set looks amazing! I haven’t seen the other stickers, so I really appreciate you sharing. Any chance you know what year these were released?

Wow! I was WAY off. They looked exactly like the TOMY Puffy stickers. I expect no less from the Sticker King. You have humbled me again. :raised_hands:

The Best Before date on the box is 1999, since there’s no actual year anywhere else on the box they were probably sold during at least two years (so they don’t have to spend money to change the box during that period) , so I’ll say 1998-1999 Though I may be incorrect, depends if Togepi was first revealed in 1998 or 1999, since it’s a johto pokemon that appeared in Kanto. (Also fun fact: the first pokemon game was supposed to contain Kanto + Johto but they were limited by the technology at the time, so they had to split the game and the pokedex)

To search for these on japanese websites I would usually search for broader terms even if that means scrolling on a lot of pages. Like “Pokemon 3D seal” “pokemon meiji seal”
(Even the japanese people don’t know what the set is called, comes from or even what year so they also keep it simple in their listings)

I don’t collect them, but I have seen what appears to be the case that box comes from.

I’ve also seen another box seemingly from that set, over at this flickr account (the snorlax).

I’m not sure where the set of 24 fits in. It’s the same line of product and shares the same barcode, but on the face of it, the stickers appear to be a different style from those @nidokingdom posted. Below is an additional image of a box from that set.

Thank you for sharing! I’ve seen other lenticular stickers like the mew pictured on eBay, and after checking the listings again, it seems like there’s quite a few different products. Some are sealed in a clear cellophane pack rather than the silver meiji packaging I see in the photo you shared. Some have a pokeball shown on one of the corners.

Like you mention, based on the similar packaging and barcode, it does seem to be another line of prizes in the product. Very cool, thanks again!

A bit late to replay, but thanks so much for the picture of the case box !

I actually got mine inside a sealed Giant Plastic Pikachu Meiji Confectionary assortment that came with various Meiji products

in the second part of this reel I am opening it

Have a great day,
