WOW that is a hectic trade !! If it was me I’d rather keep all those cards :stuck_out_tongue: but that’s just me! You have the opportunity to trade so why not ! Good luck

This is interesting.

You may have to add cash to cover the cost of selling + fees etc. because the person who ends up with a stack of cards that large will likely want the money and still have to go through the immense hassle of selling them.

Your valuations are mostly fair. If the right person comes along this wouldn’t be an unreasonable trade.

Definitely one of the more interesting WTT threads we’ve seen here.

Good luck

Good luck!

This is honestly not a bad deal* for someone who is wanting to do a downgrade on their PSA 10 charizard for an entire set of cards. Plus, there’s 2 1st edition base charizards in there so it’s not like they will lose out on the price of charizards increasing.

I also agree this is one of the more interesting WTT threads here!

*I guess it depends on the valuation of each respective member’s cards

Plus your prices are all on the wayyyy higher end, you would never be able to get these prices in the current market.

You’re talking pwcc prices without ebay and paypal fees taken off :stuck_out_tongue:

Some of the prices listed are overvalued , some are undervalued in my opinion but I guess it rounds out to an even trade. Good luck with this I’ll be interested to see if anyone tries to downsize

Great cards. Excellent pricing to match the cards. It sounds like a very clean and very even trade off in my opinion.
When or if you do make this trade the only comment I will say is just make sure that the Charizard is very well centered , That to me is the first thing I ever look at and probably most important part of the card ? I imagine one day when you sell the card that the person buying it that will be the first thing they look at.
Good luck brother. raw collection. Glad to see there are big players in the game.

Fair trade, though I just don’t see it happening. Only someone like Gary who has multiple copies would do this and they would probably expect $35-40k worth of cards.

We have a member that wanted to do something similar(I think it was hypernova?) a while ago and Gary said he’d value his cards at maybe 80% value. He advised him to sell the cards so he’d have the cash ready when a copy shows up for the right price.

A trade of this size has to make sense financially for the person trading the Charizard. They might keep a handful of your higher end cards, but they’ll be looking to sell the rest. They will pay fees and they won’t necessarily earn the numbers you posted up there. Some of the cards you value for $500 might earn them $300-350 so it’s very unlikely you can do a 1:1 trade here.

They wouldn’t want to do all the work to move all the cards on that list but I will be able to get someone on my list to sell theirs for 29,325.00. If you don’t get your trade just sell them, get the 30k and I’ll get your customer.

Just to get a different POV, I don’t care about the centering as much as damage. I’d say get a clean front and back and don’t worry about the centering.

Nah some of them are undervalued by a couple hundred each. It prob all evens out.

“Some of the prices listed are overvalued , some are undervalued in my opinion” is exactly where I would be at; very interesting proposal

Trades like this rarely succeed. If I’m the owner of a 10 charizard, what are the odds I would want all those cards? Almost nil, so it’s down to value. If you sell your cards, you will not be able to move most of these in the next 6 months unless price swings dramatically up. A charizard will probably have a much easier chance of selling. So to incentivize someone to trade to flip the card, you would need a big premium on your sets. So closer to 20-30% above the fair value of a charizard to get some interests at all. Or you would need fewer but more valuable cards like a bunch of 1st ed psa 10 blastoise and venusaur and alakazam. Or 6 strong psa 9 1st ed charizard a might do.

I’m not looking to trade mine but feel kind of compelled to offer some advice reading it as a potential trader, I look at that and think you should put ‘- 20 hours of work’ also on the list, even if I was trading mine, I’d want 10k easily above market rate to entertain receiving all of those items. I agree with Gary about selling everything and having the cash would be a better approach, but just to add my own little take on that, some of those cards are pretty sick. You could keep the PSA 9 version aside to offer in a cash plus card trade as someone not that keen to part with their 10 might feel a lot better about making a deal if they’re going to get a 9 straight back plus still a lot of money. Also the crystal/shining Charizards and even the Dragonair are very cool sweeteners to include in a mostly cash deal, so I’d hold onto a few of those if I were you.

You better not trade that beautiful Char you got…(unless it’s to me;)
