So my one of my Unlinited Charizard cards has sold, for lower than I what i would have wanted.
Buyer has 2 100% positive purchase feedback in the last 6-12 months. Obviously there are alot of scams going about where the buyer is reporting the card as never arriving so I’m instantly cautious over sending a £300 card . .
Any ideas what what you do? Go for it just cancel the sale?
If it’s a high-value transaction and you’re on edge, just shell out a few bucks for signature confirmation. In that event, the only thing you need to worry about is the bullshit scam where the buyer says the card was damaged and returns a different copy of the card in worse condition. That, however, is extremely uncommon (have never had it happen to me over the course of hundreds of sales).
I wouldn’t stress, man. Everybody starts with zero feedback, and there’s still a huge influx of new people into the hobby, most of whom don’t have nefarious intentions. Chances are 99-to-1 you’ll be perfectly fine.
Why are you putting something up for auction in the first place if you´re afraid of low feedback accounts? I personally never had any problems with low feedback buyers.
I recently sold a $120 card to somebody with 0 feedback in Germany through ebay’s gsp. Im hesitant about it but sometimes you gotta roll the dice. Personally, I’d do signature confirmation just in case.
*knocks on wood* So far I have not had any issues with low feedback buyers as of yet. I was definitely nervous the first time I sold something for $200+ to someone who had about 5 or 10 feedback. Done a couple of 0 score buyers as well. As long as you have tracking, I don’t see any reason not to go through with the transaction.
I’ve never had problems with low feedback buyers either, but I’ve seen this sentiment voiced here often enough to garner that they skeeve a lot of people out. I believe there’s an option when creating a listing to block low-feedback buyers from purchasing the item, but perhaps that’s only available to BINs rather than auctions?
I´m not sure tbh, I just blacklisted a few countries myself. If one is afraid of low feedback buyers, just put up for a very high price obo and you can select who you´ll sell to.
Add another 0 and you’ll start sweating. I don’t mind selling upto $500 myself. But some items I have are $1000+ and I definitely will not risk selling to a 0 feedback buyer. Even 5 feedback I’d risk a chance but not with 0 and especially not with new accounts
