Matchprint cards. These controversy cards. It’s been couple years since they were introduced to us.
What are your thoughts about these cards today?
Seems like there’s some demand for cards such as Pikachu and other major Pokemons. But how about the other ones?
Does anyone really care about these? Or are there collectors hunting these?
Any news or change in price?
I haven’t focused on Pokemon collecting for the past few years. But I still have stuff lying around. For example these three matchprints with their FPO counterparts.
I would love to add the Matchprint Pikachu to my Pikachu collection. It’s so unfortunate only two exists, one in @justinator 's possession and one in possession of TheCharizardAuthority. I don’t think either will let it go for less than 1k USD, if at all…
The number of people that know about these is sooooooo low. That said, a ton of people are interested at the right price. The problem is that they’re a novelty, not a card. People are interested because of their interest in cards but no one is going to spend their life hunting down a “complete set” of these.
