McDonald's 2021 Set, 50 Cards

It hasn’t been mentioned yet, but this McDonald’s set should be 50 cards. Every happy meal toy will come a 4 pack booster containing 3 non holo cards and 1 holo card consisting of 4 of the 25 starters. This means that you will have to actually buy more than 25 because each of them will be in boosters instead of showing like previous sets. It also comes on February 9th-March 8th which has been talked about already on PokeBeach. If people wonder I got the information, I literally work at McDonalds as a manager in the US.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if there will a limit per order/customer, or is that left for each individual store to decide? I hope there is a limit, because I imagine these are already going to be hard enough to get as it is.

Does McDonalds still allow you to buy only the toy, not the whole happy meal?

Yeah you can just buy the toy. Should be $1.99 per toy plus tax of wherever you are. This assuming you are using US currency.

It’s left to each franchise. McDonalds is a worldwide corporation, but within that corporation you have smaller companies. These are called franchises. For example, my franchise owns about 20 McDonald’s in the area. They control all movement of product and most procedures like that. All that being said, it would depend on the manager. I think our store has been asked to restrict to one or two per customer. It is kind of unfair to give one customer 50 happy meal toys and then be reduced to all the overstock from previous years happy meal toys. I would just ask your local store. Just please don’t harass them, it’s hard enough working fast food :sweat_smile:

Amen brother I’ve done time in the kitchen and the LAST thing they will be worried about is people getting their cards lol.

I assume this McDonald’s set will be the same 25th anniversary stamped French cards that were leaked in English Vivid Voltage packs? Considering we also saw an English McDonald’s Holofoil Chimchar from that set.

Thanks for the update! I was half expecting little booster packs considering the amount of cards but the fact they can all be holo is a nice bonus.

Should also help with them being damaged as they aren’t being stuffed in with toys this time round.

If this is the case the cards will never see the inside of the happy meal bag. They’ll be bought to be resold. Poor kids don’t stand a chance.

This reminds me of when McDonalds had Beanie Baby happy meals, my grandma stopped at every McDonalds right off the highway between Michigan and Florida to buy happy meals just for the toys. She then tossed the fries and burger out the window…

You get 4 nuggets in a happy meal. So 4 cards to a nugget basically.

At 3.29 + tax you’re getting a deal at 0.8225 $/card or 0.8225 $/nugget.

Converting a PSA 10 1st Edition Base Set Charizard selling at $360k to McDonald’s currency, we arrive at ~437,689.969 or 437,690 cards or nuggets.
