Just wanted to warn the community about this Misprint Ninetales Listing on eBay. I recently bought this card from the seller about a week ago. Immediately after payment, he wanted me to pay more money for it, then more money for shipping . . . which I refused. Then he said it was at his wive’s house and wouldn’t be able to ship for about 10 days. Then he changed his story and said his mom had his Pokemon Collection and would have her ship it. Then he sent me a message telling me my payment didn’t go through and would have to pay him again . . . I sent him the transaction ID number to prove that I did pay. He then sent me a message about a laptop and accused me of being a scammer using derogatory language (which later, he claimed was not intended for me, but a different buyer). Still no card, but I see he relisted the same card (looking at eBay’s completed listings, this seems to be the 3rd or 4th time).
Long story short, do not buy from this seller and thanks for listening to my rant.
Seller just sent me a nice message: “I didn’t trust ur payment I’m a fraud lol. Ima fraud, Not at all. Maybe if you would of message me I would of told you hey listen. Ur a dishrag and if u want it it’s gonna be 200 now because I raised the price and ur homo. Good luck owning a misprint Epic rare mint Ninetales Idiot. Ur fake payment eBay told me to cancel. It so have fun in life lol. Love feedback hahahaha u just mess wrong person dude.
U will see”
I’ve had to deal with messages like this for a week now . . .
Yes, I called eBay earlier; they said they would take appropriate actions against the seller . . . I did get my money back, but I hope others don’t have to deal with this seller. Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of people in the collecting community are awesome . . . it more than makes up for the occasional bad apple!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the seller. Glad you were able to get your money back. Hopefully eBay will follow up on the promise to take appropriate action.
Makes it much rarer though, which means lower pop, which means much more uniqueingtons. Id much rather have a psa 10 of this error card, then a 1st ed shadowless ninetales or a shadowless ninetales which could be secured pretty much straight away. IF You dont understand the importance of Rarity/anomolies compared to mass produced Cards, then I shall have to destroy you… Ive decided.
Dont get me wrong 1st ed shadowless ninetales is still cool, and shadowless, but this one takes the caKe in rarity. ONE DAY, she will be mine…
I opened ninetales at target when i was little synd… IN A THEME DECK!!! hehehehehehe.
If you ever find one with a little error I’ll be happy to take it off your hands. Heck, if you have a clefable with a little prerelease stamp I’ll take that too. There’s also these really cool shadowless cards that have this little stamp, people call them 1st edition cards or something like that. If you’re ever burdened by any of those minor differences in your cards, just let me know I’ve got your back.
A quick search I couldn’t find it. I believe others here have seen it cause I did have it listed. It’s been a while. I can’t even remember if I had it graded? Anybody else here remember if I had it graded? It’ll make it easier to find.
what in hell are you talking about garinson… off centered pre release clefabz stamp… This doesnt make sense to my engrishing. does this mean there is another error i must obtain.
It’s more a misprint than an error.
The prerelease stamp is about a half inch closer to the center. When held up next to a normal one you can easily see the difference. Not a super big deal but fun to have a OOAK.
